HIPKA Kalimantan Barat Installs 14 Regional Boards and Launches “Fintech Power Up” to Support Indonesia’s 8% Economic Growth Target
Pontianak, July 27, 2025 – As part of its commitment to support Indonesia’s national economic growth target of 8%, the Regional Executive Board of HIPKA Kalimantan Barat (West Kalimantan) officially inaugurated 14 District/City Executive Boards (BPD) across the province. The ceremony was led by Ahmad Muntaha, Secretary General of HIPKA National, and took place at the West Kalimantan Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) Hall in Pontianak.
The event continued with a Public Forum titled “Fintech Power Up: Synergy of HIPKA BPDs for 8% Economic Growth”, bringing together key stakeholders from government, finance, business, and Indonesia’s rapidly growing fintech sector to discuss collaboration and digital transformation in the regional economy.
Sectoral Strategy Dialogue and Regional Coordination (Rakorda)
On the same day, HIPKA Kalbar held a Regional Coordination Meeting (Rakorda) featuring Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) across three critical sectors:
Mining & Downstream Industries: Focused on gold, silica, and bauxite resource development and value-added processing.
Plantations & Agriculture: Enhancing palm oil productivity and sustainable agribusiness.
Government-Aligned Programs: Alignment with strategic national initiatives such as Desa Merah Putih Cooperatives, Rural Electrification, Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG), and Micro & Creative Economy Development.
The Rakorda also served as the launch platform for www.kitatani.co.id, a fintech platform for agricultural financing and financial inclusion, reflecting HIPKA's commitment to digital transformation in rural economies.
Endorsement from Financial Institutions and Government
Doni, representative of Bank Indonesia Kalbar, emphasized the province’s regional growth target of 7.9% in 2025, aligned with national projections. “HIPKA is a vital partner in expanding the reach of digital finance and productive economic sectors,” he stated.
Harrison, Secretary of the West Kalimantan Provincial Government and also a KAHMI Regional Board member, reaffirmed the local government's readiness to support this initiative. “We are fully committed to providing regulatory, infrastructure, and financial incentives to drive investment and SME development,” he said.
The West Kalimantan Capital Market Authority also expressed strong interest in partnering with HIPKA to help local SMEs and companies go public, thereby enhancing the region’s investment competitiveness.
Meanwhile, the Financial Services Authority (OJK) reaffirmed its open-door policy for fintech companies willing to contribute to Indonesia’s inclusive economic development and financial system innovation.
Strategic Policy Guidance from National Lawmakers and HIPKA Leaders
Kamrussamad, Member of Commission XI of the Indonesian Parliament and Budget Committee (Banggar) as well as a HIPKA National Executive Board member, encouraged HIPKA to become a strategic catalyst for the national economic agenda. “We must strengthen collaboration across real sectors, smart financing, and downstream industrial development,” he said.
Abdul Karim Bakri, Chairman of HIPKA Kalbar, presented a roadmap for organizational development and sector-based business development guidance, emphasizing export-oriented production and the formation of localized industrial clusters. “West Kalimantan must position itself as a contributor to Indonesia’s global economic competitiveness,” he stressed.
Unified Movement: KAHMI, FORKOHATI, and HIPKA in Collaboration
The day’s events followed the inauguration of the Regional Council of KAHMI and FORKOHATI Kalbar, held at the Governor’s Pavilion. The ceremony was officiated by Dr. H.M. Rifqinizamy Karsayuda, SH, MH, Chairman of Commission II of the Indonesian Parliament, National Presidium of KAHMI, and Chairman of FORKOHATI National Board, alongside Hj. Jamilah Abdul Gani, SH, M.Kn, National Presidium of FORKOHATI.
